The „Hands-on Learning Day“ concept has proven to be very successful and has been adopted by the career services departments of several regional universities, such as Ansbach, OTH Amberg-Weiden, Augsburg, Coburg, Hof, Kempten, Landshut, München, Evang. Hochschule Nürnberg, OTH Regensburg, Rosenheim, Würzburg-Schweinfurt and TH Nürnberg, as well as a number of companies.
This year seven students from various technical degree programs came to visit us at MEKRA Lang. After being welcomed by Ms. Lang and served a few refreshments, the students went on a comprehensive tour of the company. They started off with an introduction into the world of MEKRA cameras, first touring the camera production facility and then participating in a demonstration of the 3D simulator and the virtual reality goggles. Next up was a visit to our laboratory facilities. The tour concluded with a presentation on quality and a brief introduction to LEAN management. During a final get together with all participants at the end of the day, the students talked about their impressions and received information on career opportunities at MEKRA Lang.
