MEKRA Lang is part of the vbw campaign "Zukunft Made in Bavaria"

Together with 24 member associations, the vbw - Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e. V. (Bavarian Business Association) has launched the campaign "Future. Made in Bavaria." "With their innovations, Bavarian companies are drivers and shapers of sustainability: They stand for long-term corporate success, value creation through employee appreciation and the protection of natural resources. In short, sustainability consists of the triad of economy, ecology and social issues," said vbw President Wolfram Hatz at the launch of the campaign, adding, "In this context, we will establish the 'Lebensgrundlagen Bayern' foundation to promote exemplary sustainability projects from civil society in the Free State."

An important aspect of sustainability is climate protection and the associated necessary ecological transformation. "Innovations are the key to successfully mastering this tour de force. For example, the Free State already accounts for a quarter of German and a tenth of European research activities in the field of climate protection technologies. Bavaria is also Germany's number one inventor state in the renewable energies sector, with the most patent applications. This progress generates added value worldwide and at the same time ensures a social and ecological balance," explained Hatz.

To increase the innovative power of companies, the vbw calls for an improvement in political and social location conditions. "We need stronger, more needs-based and more technology-open support for investments and innovations - especially in climate and environmental protection. Green power is in danger of becoming a bottleneck, so we need a rapid expansion of renewable energies, but also of power grids and storage facilities, as well as the development of a hydrogen economy. And last but not least, we need less bureaucracy and fewer requirements from Brussels and Berlin. Bureaucratic monsters like the EU taxonomy tie up employees and capital and thus prevent investment in innovations. That has to stop," says Hatz.

The aim of the campaign is to present the central message - right of way for sustainable innovations made in Bavaria - to a broad public and thus achieve greater social acceptance for the associated changes. Under the heading "Future. Made in Bavaria.", the vbw identifies the right course to be set so that Bavaria remains an economically successful location and a home worth living in in the future. The motto and the motifs related to the theme are displayed on large-scale posters throughout Bavaria, on online banners and in brochures. The campaign website www.zukunft-made-in-bavaria.de and the social media channels are the linchpins.
