MEKRAtronics presents innovative transverse camera monitor system

At this year's Agritechnica in Hanover, MEKRAtronics GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of MEKRA Lang GmbH & Co. KG presents an innovation in the field of field-of-view monitoring of traffic situations that are difficult to see, such as intersections and unclear yard and road entrances. Together with our partner satconsystem from Königsberg in Bavaria, we have succeeded in being the first and only company to develop a visibility solution specifically tailored to these situations. This solution has received approval from the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and is of great interest above all to farmers, municipalities, construction and contracting companies, and vehicle manufacturers.

Based on 30 years of experience in the field of indirect vision systems - with mirror as well as camera-monitor systems - MEKRA Lang is able to actively shape the future of indirect vision for commercial vehicles through mirror replacement systems. As a system supplier for mirror systems and with many years of development expertise in opening up visibility around the vehicle, MEKRA Lang is a proven and world-leading partner when it comes to "visibility and safety" for the commercial vehicle industry.

Our goal is to create optimal visibility conditions for commercial vehicles, minimize risks and thus ensure greater safety on the road.
Our transverse camera monitor system is used to remedy the restriction of the field of vision caused by a front-end dimension exceeding 3.5 m or when front-mounted implements are used in road traffic. It consists of one camera on the left and one on the right, plus a monitor mounted on edge on the A-pillar.

For optimum field-of-view monitoring, the cameras have an aperture angle of 70°. The transversal camera monitor system meets the characteristics recommended by Verkehrsblatt 23/2016-180 with regard to function, operation, image quality and display, as well as the specified fields of view. The system is distributed exclusively by MEKRAtronics GmbH (www.mekratronics.de).
