Retention of Access Information

You can visit our website without providing information about yourself. The only access information we automatically retain is data we store in server log files each time our homepage is accessed. When you access our website, the following data will be collected and stored:

By evaluating the anonymously collected data and information statistically, we strive to improve our data protection and data security measures.


We use the open source web analysis service Matomo (previously PIWIK) for analyzing our website. Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph f of the GDPR provides the legal basis for the processing of personal data.
Matomo uses methods which enable an analysis of your use of our website, in particular the Internet page from which you came to us (the so-called referrer), which sub-pages you access or how often and how long you view a sub-page. Matomo uses cookies to collect this information (for cookies see above). The cookie-provided information about your use of this website will be stored on our server. Before the information is stored, the IP address will be rendered anonymous.
Processing personal data enables us to analyze our users’ browsing behavior. By evaluating the data we are able to continuously improve our website and its usability. The above-mentioned purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in processing the data according to Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph f of the GDPR. By rendering the IP address anonymous, the users’ interest in the protection of their personal data is reasonably taken into account.

When individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data will be stored:

  1. Two bytes of the IP address of the user’s accessing system
  2. The accessed web page
  3. The website from which the user accessed the web page (referrer)
  4. The sub-pages which are accessed from the accessed web page
  5. The time the user spent on the web page
  6. The frequency with which the web page is accessed

The software runs exclusively on our web page servers. Personal user data are only stored on those servers. The data will not be shared with third parties.

Please be advised, however, that in this case you may not be able to use this website’s functions in their entirety. If you do not wish to have your data stored and used, you can deactivate the storage and usage functions.
