We collect this information only to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the website and for improving our service. Any analysis or evaluation will be performed for statistical purposes only and will not allow us to identify you as a person. The IP address is temporarily stored to allow us to deliver the website content to your device.
The legal basis for the temporary retention of access information is provided by Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph f of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Matomo

We use the open source web analysis service Matomo (previously PIWIK) for analyzing our website. Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph f of the GDPR provides the legal basis for the processing of personal data.
Matomo uses methods which enable an analysis of your use of our website, in particular the Internet page from which you came to us (the so-called referrer), which sub-pages you access or how often and how long you view a sub-page. Matomo uses cookies to collect this information (for cookies see above). The cookie-provided information about your use of this website will be stored on our server. Before the information is stored, the IP address will be rendered anonymous.
Processing personal data enables us to analyze our users’ browsing behavior. By evaluating the data we are able to continuously improve our website and its usability. The above-mentioned purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in processing the data according to Article 6, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph f of the GDPR. By rendering the IP address anonymous, the users’ interest in the protection of their personal data is reasonably taken into account.

When individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data will be stored:

  1. Two bytes of the IP address of the user’s accessing system
  2. The accessed web page
  3. The website from which the user accessed the web page (referrer)
  4. The sub-pages which are accessed from the accessed web page
  5. The time the user spent on the web page
  6. The frequency with which the web page is accessed

The software runs exclusively on our web page servers. Personal user data are only stored on those servers. The data will not be shared with third parties.

You will have to reactivate the opt-out when you visit our website again.

SSL Encryption

For security reasons and in order to protect the transmission of confidential content, e.g. the requests you send to us as website provider, we use SSL encryption. When a connection is encrypted the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and displays the padlock symbol.
By activating SSL encryption we ensure that the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
