MEKRA Lang's training and experience day took place in bright sunshine on the company premises in Ergersheim. A wide range of activities, exciting company tours, and the opportunity to ride in the Vision Truck attracted numerous visitors.
Various departments of the company presented themselves in the administration bistro. The Lean Management team invited visitors to take part in a tricky puzzle, the Development department showed the individual parts of a mirror system, and interested visitors could find out about career options at the “Ausbildungsoffensive Bayern” information stand.
Trainees and trainers were on hand to answer questions about the apprenticeship professions of industrial clerk, media designer, housekeeper, and educator. For anyone interested in technical training, there were special tours of the production areas. Another stand provided information about dual study programs, internships, and working student positions at MEKRA Lang. At the career bus in front of the administration building, the Human Resources department answered questions about starting a career and career opportunities at MEKRA Lang.
Those interested in training in logistics could even sit on a forklift truck in front of the administration building and get a first impression.
On the first floor in front of the bistro, Bachblüten presented their products. Guests could immerse themselves in a virtual world with VR glasses and experience the Digital VisionSystem up close. In a meeting room, the IT department presented its apprenticeship programs and provided insights into server programming. The energy management team provided information about MEKRA Lang's commitment to the environment and energy, as well as its successes to date. On a table, visitors could examine the production process at Lang Technics and learn about the steps involved in turning flat glass into a coated mirror.
There were also numerous attractions for children in the parking lot in front of Lang Technics. The Burgbernheim volunteer fire department presented its latest vehicle and invited visitors to join in the fun: whether spraying targets with a water hose or trying out heavy firefighting equipment, action was guaranteed. An old jumping cushion was turned into a creative goal wall. The children's program was rounded off by a bouncy castle and a small shooting range.
The Frieda Lang Haus provided coffee and cake, while SV Ergersheim served bratwurst and cold drinks. In front of a restored vintage truck, a photo booth invited visitors to take souvenir photos.
As a special Mother's Day treat, mothers were able to pamper themselves with a soothing neck massage from a massage and wellness therapist in a separate room.
At the end of a successful and informative day, visitors were able to enjoy a cool treat from the ice cream truck that had been brought in especially for the occasion and round off the afternoon.
