When the bosses go swimming - Highlights from the MEKRA Lang employee party

The employee party for MEKRA Lang's 90th anniversary had many highlights.

Those who had feared long speeches were in for a treat; at the MEKRA Lang employee party, the focus was really on the employees and their families.

Apart from a brief welcome and a few honors for long-serving employees (40- and 25-year anniversaries), the whole event was geared toward a colorful program for all employees and their families.

And because the motto of the anniversary is: "When we celebrate, others should also have something from it!", some donation recipients were also able to rejoice: the parish of Ergersheim received 3,000 euros for the organ renovation, there were 5,600 euros for the SV Ergersheim, 4,000 euros for the youth of the SV Weigenheim, 6,440 euros for a piece of playground equipment at the Ermetzhofen playground and 1,000 euros for the Ergersheim brass band. And the social commitment of the company will be continued in the coming months, so soon more donation recipients can look forward!

On the forecourt of the KKC there was a huge play park for children, with a go-kart track, surf simulator, large bouncy castles, bungee jumping facility, "construction sites" for the little ones and even make-up and glitter tattoo stands.

From the start of the event at 11:00 a.m. until the end at 7:00 p.m., employees were able to help themselves to a rich buffet of culinary delights. There the roast lover came just as much at his expense as vegetarians, salad enthusiasts just like Pommes fans and naturally also coffee and cake as well as frozen yogurt could not be missing.

The participants were entertained by stilt walkers, juggling artists, magic shows and table magicians, balloon artists and a caricature artist, who was booked up throughout.

The highlight for many, however, was certainly the "sinking of the bosses", in which the bosses to be sunk were selected in advance by the employees by voting in boxes provided, as were the employees, who were then allowed to sink them by throwing a ball into the "big tub". Of course, the biggest cheer went out to CEO Dr. Werner Lang, who had the ball thrown into the water twice.

"A great event, a huge range of activities for children and adults, and plenty of time to talk to colleagues away from the daily routine - a real success," was how the participants summed it up.
